That your staff know the sport of running and it’s gear.
Friendly, attentive, thoughtful, and thorough customer service! Listened to my interests and needs then observed my step, stride etc... Helped me to find a comfortable supportive running shoe.

I had no idea how personalized of an approach Fleet Feet has. I came in expecting to know what sneakers I wanted to try on. It was a huge relief to sit down with someone who looked at my very worn sneakers, and measured my feet to ensure he provided me with the best recommendations. I have a very narrow foot and am used to having some room in sneakers once they are broken in. I'm excited to start putting some miles on my Brooks sneakers and feel confident that these will provide me so much more comfort and motivate me to run more!

I went to purchase running sneakers and asked the salesperson for Brooks shoes w a low pronation. I tried on a few pairs and settled on one, and asked again to make sure they were low pronation.
I got home and did some research and learned that the shoes I bought had a 12mm drop instead of a 4mm drop. If I wore those shoes without realizing it, I could have been injured. I am disappointed. I now have to find time to get back to the store to return them—I live an hour away.

My first trip years ago the sales associate explained to me what type of footwear would be best for my activities. I now know pretty much what I am looking for but subsequent purchases I did not feel I was offered the same level of knowledge in the service.

Every time I come in there’s another “expert” trying to extol their run knowledge on me but they don’t take any time to understand that I’ve been at this sport for over 20 years. I’ve had people who were pretty far out of shape trying to give me running and shoe advice. Last night was pretty similar; I had a well intentioned gentleman treat me like a novice when all I really wanted to do was buy another set of the same running shoes I’ve successfully been using for years. He even corrected me on the “proper” term for a specific type of running workout that I like to do, as if there is a single runners lexicon that is used universally around the world.
I appreciate that you have staff who are well informed but they should take some time to understand the client’s experience level and to figure out whether they want advice before sharing it. Size up the client a little better and dial back the running-snobbery. Otherwise, you’ll only get novices coming in and the rest will buy their shoes online as soon as they figure out what they like and realize that they aren’t sophomore runners anymore.
The salesperson was knowledgeable and patient. They still believe in good customer service which I believe leads to return customers.
